On Tour with Ryan Pelton
I am thrilled to announce that I have accepted the bass position for Ryan Pelton – one of the top Elvis tributes in the US. I grew up on Elvis and have always loved his music. And I’ve worked with more than a dozen Elvis acts over my career. Those bass parts are a blast to play. Now I get to play them behind one of the hottest acts in the business, and with a top-flight band.
Ryan is not only an amazing Elvis tribute, he’s a great singer, period. He’s also a wonderful person. Same can be said of Mickey, the music director for the show. I’m really looking forward to this, and to getting to know the rest of the band better. I won’t have to wait long, however, as I leave tomorrow for Nashville for three days of rehearsal – to learn SIXTY songs! – and then it’s on the bus we go, and up to Pennsylvania.
I just got final word last night that I was the person selected. So now I’ve got one day to get my act together and get down to Nashville. I’m spending the day packing everything I’ll need for an extended trip, as we I won’t even see home for at least a month, if not more.
I hope you’ll follow along as I travel with my new band. I’ll post here regularly to keep you updated on all the activities. Soon, I will have a calendar plug-in so you can check dates. Until then, please visit the Ryan Pelton web site.
Now, I have to get act together. Tons of things to do today. But, boy oh boy, is this going to be fun!
Keep Thumpin’!
